Ok, so this afternoon I did the hardest thing I have ever had to do which was to say goodbye to my two beautiful boys and wife. It tore me apart. Both the boys knew that something wasn't quite right as Zander went into hypo mode and began bouncing off the walls (not literally) and Henry my youngest (@21 months) had walked to the front door, put his wooly hat on and pulled his coat off the coat rack saying daddy, daddy whist trying to put his peppa pig boots on all before I had even put my shoes on. Whilst I was having a melt down with my wife I could see Henry over her shoulder sitting in the floor trying with all his strength to put the left boot on his right foot - bless him.
So... I have arrived at Hammersmith hospital and I have been made to feel very welcome and at home in my room for one. Its nice and will have to be as we will be share each others company for the next 3-5 weeks. I have a fridge, tv, sound stream thing, en-suite, electric reclining chair and a proper meal menu on demand.
Olivia helped me settle in (well tell me where things should go as all good wives should do lol) and before we knew it, it was time for her to get back to the boys. After walking her back to the car and melting down again, I thought I might take a little video clip for you to have a look at my new pad! So before I say goodnight and prepare myself for day -6 (I will explain this in another blog for you) and chemotherapy here is my new abode.
Goodnight
